Our client is an elevator distributor from Iraq. They were purchasing eight geared elevators for an office building, but the machine room height was only 1500 mm.
Typically, the minimum height for a standard elevator machine room is 2300 mm to ensure safe access for maintenance personnel. They consulted several suppliers, but all of them said that installation was impossible without modifying the building.
So they contacted us to inquire if we could customize the elevators.
After carefully studying the layout drawings, our engineers redesigned the layout of the drive unit and control cabinet to accommodate this height limitation, ensuring that maintenance personnel could safely perform maintenance work in such a confined space.
Ultimately, all eight elevators were custom-manufactured, and the project proceeded smoothly.
