Most machine room less elevators can serve 2 to 25 floors, depending on the speed, load capacity, and building structure.
Are MRL elevators energy efficient?
Yes. Machine room less elevators are more energy efficient than traditional machine-room elevators. We use permanent magnet synchronous motors, which reduce power consumption and improve operating efficiency.
What is the minimum shaft size?
For compact home elevators, the shaft size can be as small as 900 × 1000 mm. Commercial MRL elevators can be as small as 1300 × 1100 mm.
Does an MRL elevator need overhead space?
Yes. Machine room less elevators still require overhead space inside the shaft for equipment installation and safe operation.
What is the disadvantage of an MRL elevator?
Compared with traditional machine-room elevators, MRL elevators may provide less maintenance space for technicians because the equipment is installed inside the shaft. For very high-rise buildings or heavy-duty applications, a traditional machine-room elevator may still be preferred.
