Stainless Steel Material For Elevator

Currently, the stainless steel used in the elevator is mainly divided into two kinds: 304 stainless steel and 316 stainless steel.

304 stainless steel has good corrosion resistance, processability and toughness, making it widely used in elevator manufacturing. Because it is durable and affordable, and relatively easy to process.

On the other hand, 316 stainless steel is more corrosion resistant than 304 stainless steel, especially for organic and inorganic acids such as salt water and seawater. Therefore, 316 stainless steel is commonly chosen for elevators located in coastal areas and humid environments. For high-end properties or five-star hotels, where maintaining superior elevator quality is crucial, 316 stainless steel is typically preferred.
